How many satellite dishes does Direct TV or Dish Network have in space?

The companies send the satellites in space those go on your house they have satellite dishes in space but.
The signal to subscribers dishes in space those go on your house they have satellites which send signal to the satellites which send the signal to subscribers.

In 2004, Directv had 6 satellites, Dish Network had 8. I don’t know if they’ve added any more since then.
